Ben Nunn insists Boreham Wood can hold their own in the National League

Boreham Wood defender Ben Nunn has described coming back from travelling the world to help his club clinch promotion into non-league’s top tier as being unbelievable.

The 25-year-old, who has scored four goals in 99 appearances for the Meadow Park side, returned from his trip around the globe in time for the successful run-in. After winning promotion from the Conference South via the play-offs, Nunn believes the Wood can replicate the success of Dover Athletic and Eastleigh and establish themselves at step 1.

Let's hope Wood can hold their own in the National League, mid table would be more than welcome first time in. It's been a long haul for the town, too long in the lower echelons; hopefully this is the start of a new era.
